Two pop mega-concerts scheduled in Atlantic Canada this weekend have been cancelled, the promoter says, after headliner Selena Gomez pulled out of the shows.

The 24-year-old pop star has cancelled her upcoming appearances in Paradise, N.L., and Moncton, N.B., due to health concerns, according to David Carver Music.

The organizers of AtlanticFest 2016, said late Tuesday that refund information for the two Atlantic Canadian stops would be available next week.

"David Carver Music firstly extends our thoughts and well wishes to Ms. Gomez. David Carver Music and Atlantic Canadian music fans stand with her on the decision to put her health first," the promoter said.

Gomez was set to play in Paradise on Saturday and Moncton on Sunday, accompanied by Flo Rida and DNCE.

The singer told People magazine on Tuesday that she was taking a break to focus on her health. Gomez has been diagnosed with lupus, and says she has been dealing with anxiety, panic attacks and depression.

"I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off," she reportedly said in a statement.
